The New Moon in Gemini is exact at 12:45pm Pacific on Wednesday. The Moon Guides for each of the twelve signs are live: download yours for direction in creating the most powerful New Moon intentions for your sign!

The questions being posed by the Gemini New Moon are many: What interests you? What are you curious about? What's your life's purpose? What's realistic — and where do you need to dream bigger? Are you working toward the right things? What beliefs are standing in the way of your achieving your dreams? How do your habitual thought patterns create barriers to forward motion?

And on, and on, and on.

At base, this New Moon is about fostering the willingness to keep an open mind, no matter the challenges or difficulties you encounter. This New Moon is about integrity. About embodying our purpose instead of waiting to be given permission. And most of all, about aligning with our own inner truth.

So what to do with this influence? I've included info for each of twelve signs in The Moon Guidesthese are free to all subscribers, so be sure to download yours if you haven't yet! — but on a general level there are a few ways to go with this:

Write everything down

There's no better way to understand what's happening now than to get your thoughts down on paper. The act of writing is the only way to stop the mind's incessant racing: please make time for it. If you spend every morning before the next Full Moon writing three full pages before you do anything else in your day, you'll discover valuable clarity and perspective in areas that've eluded your grasp all spring.

Stay open

Maintain your fluidity, and you'll fine ease and grace to steer you through difficulty. Move by calibration, adaptation, finessing and absorbing, rather than in big leaps or life-changing decisions. Micro-adjustments are key.

Ground yourself in gratitude

Slowing enough not only to appreciate what you have but to really experience the grace that gratitude creates in the body as a physical sensation. Feel into your body when you practice gratitude. The way your muscles relax into your bones, your skin. This is the space you want to be standing in while you seek out direction and purpose.

Find what you love and surrender to it

Ideas are a dime a dozen now, but which provoke sensation? Which provoke action? Find those and surrender to them. Let them guide your actions. Let them determine the shape of your hours, your days, your weeks.

Dedicate nervous energy to getting organized

If you feel blocked or caught in thoughts spinning out of control, work to create order in your environment. You can also create concrete (and remember: realistic!) schedules, plans and timelines for your goals and put them in writing. Both the act of organizing and the peace that results when you've finished reflect inwardly in your emotional and mental landscape.

Engage in practices that stabilize the core

Yoga, pilates, or any other practice that enhances your sense of center can help ground you. This is about the physical body as container for the spinning mutable chaos: use it.

Find faith and wonder if the natural world

The natural world helps us get out of our heads and drop back into the physical. If the mental energy is too much for you, the outdoors holds the key to pulling you back to earth.

Open yourself to missives and messages from unexpected sources

Communication is incoming from all directions, and in all forms. Messages are everywhere. Keep your ears and heart open.

Above all, allow yourself to find stillness at the center of this astrology while this energy whips and spins around you. Stay fluid in the midst of change, and try to find detachment from the ways you think things should unfold. You don't need to make any big decisions now — but now's a time when you can find clarity and direction, context and insight to inform the decisions you'll make in the near future.

Scorpio Full Moon: The Essential Questions

The real test of the Scorpio Full Moon isn’t the fact that it will illuminate those places we typically prefer to keep hidden — that’s a given. The real test will come with what we do, how we handle ourselves, in response to our exposure to the  deeper psychic motivations coming to the surface.

The Moon Guides for the Scorpio Full Moon are live for each of the twelve signs, detailing an enhanced Full Moon ritual and each sign can most effectively focus their efforts. A full breakdown of the Scorpio Full Moon is below!

SCORPIO FULL MOON: THE ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS | The Scorpio Full Moon is here and contains powerful fuel for conscious transformation. Click through for a full rundown of this potent lunation, and discover how your sign can take maximum advantage!

The Scorpio Full Moon is exact on May 10 at 2:42pm Pacific Scorpio has a propensity for deep feeling and intensity: it's a sign and an energy that craves access to know the deeper motivations and hidden psychological impulses behind everything. No matter which way you slice it, this lunation can be triggering of your innermost psychological material — but the closer we can come to using what arises to investigate our own habits, patterns and behaviors instead of lashing out, the closer we come to true transformation and growth.

That's because, simply put, everything that arises at this moment is exceedingly ripe for transformation.

Scorpio's greatest work is to remind us of the fallacy of death and loss: energy cannot disappear, it can only be transformed.

The Essential QuestionS

The Scorpio Full Moon asks us this: can we value our lives enough to surrender our shame over our secrets, the dark obsessions, emotions, stories, or experiences we fearfully hide away from view? And can we bear to work through all the unpleasant emotions that arise with enough patience and self-love that we're able, finally, to release them?

That answer, for you, might be no until you ask yourself: who would we be without them?

Here's the thing about the secrets we're ashamed of: shame evaporates when it meets the light. The way forward is through revelation, through exorcism, through surrender— let go of your secrets, and you may very well find that the energy you were using to keep something hidden is just the energy you need to transform it into something that supports who you're becoming.

Why do we cling to things we know deep down are neither fueling our growth nor nourishing our inner selves? Ask yourself how much of your past you can afford to release— and know that the real question is how much can you afford not to.

It takes courage to let ourselves be both honest and gentle, and accept every inch of what we see. That’s typically the labor we demand of those most intimate with us: the affirmation that we are enough.

But this Scorpio Full Moon, I want to challenge you, whether you’re single or in a relationship, to take responsibility for your own self-acceptance first. Be honest with yourself. Decide, despite everything, in spite of all evidence of darkness, to love yourself without reservation. Then take yourself out into that broad and beautiful daylight of community, of relationships, of the other, and tell your story — but only when your own self-worth is no longer at stake.

  • The Full Moon in Scorpio may dredge up psychological shadow material in its least eloquent and attractive form — don't ignore it. Acknowledge it. Then work to formally release it. Look to The Moon Guides for more info on how.
  • There’s a shift underway now that you may not yet be seeing the light of. Do your best not to cling to emotionally volatile views of reality despite the tenor of emotion that may arise.
  • Whatever is haunting you, please don’t be afraid, and know that you're almost there. If we’re to harness the true power we’re capable of to create what we desire in our lives, we cannot afford to leave anything out. We must include everything: the embarrassments and compulsions, the negativity and malice. If we are going to create anything of value in our lives, we cannot side-step the truth. we must, at the very least, be brave enough to acknowledge their presence — even if only to ourselves — before we can finally step out of our own way.

The Libra Full Moon is exact on Monday, April 10th at 11:40pm PT, bringing the tension between Self and Other to a peak, and kicking off Sunday's Mercury retrograde station with a dramatic bang. The Moon Guides are live with sign-by-sign guidance into ways to work with this energy. Read on for more details!

The Sun in Aries, sign of the self, opposing the Moon in Libra, sign of partnerships and relating, grants us an opportunity to release those habits, routines, relationships and vices that jerk us out of our innate sense of balance.

The Sun is closely conjunct the generation defining Uranus-Eris conjunction, an aspect exacting an electrifying influence on identity and personal power. Eris is a chaotic, disruptive energy; Uranus is an awakening, activating, shocking — and is also associated with new technologies. With their conjunction occurring in Aries, they tell a story of breakthroughs and breakdowns, fragmentations and re-alignments in how we define ourselves — and how that rapid identity evolution plays our across digital media.

This is an ongoing alignment active throughout the year (and will become super-activated again in just a couple weeks as Mercury meets up with this aspect for 2+ weeks during its current retrograde) so you won't find any mend-all solutions during the Libra Full Moon; but you may find some key elements necessary to accessing the larger whole of who you're becoming.

This energy requires grace. It requires artfulness. And it requires humility. But there's also a component here about standing your ground in your convictions — particularly those you feel most passionately about.

What are you willing to fight for? What are you willing to risk violating social norms to achieve, defend, or bring into the world? The time has come to decide — and to use that decisiveness as panacea against the chaos of a world in the midst of a monumental identity crisis.

So how best to use the energy of the Libra Full Moon?

Own what's yours.
Release everything that's not.

There's tremendous power in self-knowledge, even if you don't have the whole thing figured out yet. If we remain faithful to what we know, deep within, to be true — about ourselves, not about what other people can or should do or be — those fragments can lead us down a whole new path of discovery and opening, relationships and insight.

Let the shocks and sudden insights promised over the next  three weeks blossom in a space of calm and dignity. At this moment, the purpose of shock is simple: to initiate us into more complete manifestations of our truest selves. The only safety we possess in the moment? The choice to say yes. To affirm our experiences. The choice to flow into and through it and trust that what's coming up is moving you into closer alignment with your right environment. Your right relationships. Your right life.

If you need help with this energy, The Retrograde Project can help you find clarity over the next few weeks. It's going to be an epic session — we'd love to have you join us.
